My name is Laura Cutmore and I’m a 21 year old student currently studying FD Photography at Plymouth College of Art. This is almost certainly the best decision of my life, and I grumble and moan occasionally but can’t imagine studying anything else that gives me as much satisfaction and excitement as photography.

I started out with not a huge amount of photographic knowledge, basic darkroom skills and almost no digital work in my portfolio apart from the odd image taken on a compact camera. Purchasing my digital SLR has basically opened up my whole passion for photography, allowing me to experiment and shoot just about anywhere with relative ease.

My course has been absolutely fantastic in developing my studio lighting and post production skills, and I hope my work reflects my growth as a photographer. I intend to perfect my new found skills and techniques, experimenting further as I learn more and more.
